Known each other for over three years. Over a year ago, she stopped communicating with me. I persisted,,not letting go, continued to let her know that while she was not talking to me, I was not forgetting her. I continued to reach out to her,,without really expecting her to come back but I figure continue until I would eventually get tired and forget her. During the last 9 months starting Christmas Day,, she initiated a move with Christmas email and then emails continued with time increasing in frequency,, I continued to be polite, answering her. she kept her distance only contact with emails,, actually kept me at a distance she perhaps felt comfortable only with emails. six weeks ago she had a bad car accident,,almost burnt to death. Two days after her accident she email me of her traumatic experience, a week later she called me,, feeling very down,, so it seemed. I was so shocked that she actually called me. We talked,, she said I was the first one she thought of to call right after the accident and that she was sorry for how she behaved during the past year. I told her "I forgive you, we all do stupid things.",, but I was going to be cautious not to take her so seriously, I felt she was just down and hurting for now. With her on the phone I was polite, expressed sympathy due to her ordeal and conveyed consideration for her willingness to approach me and talk to me on the phone, after 13 months of no talking. I think that she is that way presently because she had a very bad experience and that one day when she is healed,, confident, not hurt, depressed, and again her proud way,, etc.. she will go back to keeping her distance from me. I want her to feel that I am there for her during good times and not so good times, I want to rejoice with her and cry with her, depending on the situation. Am I expecting too much from someone who will recover and go back to her usual self?

you cant really tell. im actually in a same situation. my ex, who i really really love, broke up with me a year ago. she would only contact me if she has problems. i know shes too busy to respond to my messages so when im the one hurting shes not there for me, but i have been trying to get her to notice that ill always be there for her. i think were just expecting too much. we should just go on and forget about our obsession.

Well man, you are just the back keeper, whenever she’s in problems and situations, she runs to you while she’s f***ing someone else behind. You can never be more than ‘just friends’ with her. Leave her and move on, you are wasting your time, go date other women. Life is short, live it while you can!
