I want to know, as I heard people talking about it from a distance.

He was humble, and he wanted the miracle to speak for itself.

So that the news will not get so fast. It took three years for Rome to discover the threat.

Jesus shouldn’t glorify himself, but the Father, like now the Holy Spirit shouldn’t glorify himself, but Jesus.

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful:
    [72:6]
And that certain individuals of mankind used to seek the protection of certain individuals of the jinn so that they increased them in oppressiveness.

    [6:112]
And so We have appointed to every Prophet an enemy, devils of mankind and jinn who inspire fine speech to each other in delusion; yet, had your Lord willed, they would never have done it. So leave them with what they fabricate.

    [6:113]
And that the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter may incline to it, and that they may be pleased with it, and that they may acquire what they are acquiring.

Well, when the scribes were writing this part in the bible, they had to make sure and correctly line up the prophecies for Jesus to fulfill. If they didn’t have Jesus go around and do things this way or that, how could he have fulfilled the prophecies of the OT?

  • His Divine Shadow says:

    Several reasons:

First, Jesus Christ was not a vain person, and sought no glory for himself. Of course, despite these requests, people eventually ended up worshipping the guy, basically spitting in Christ’s eye by doing so.

Secondly, Jesus didn’t heal anyone – GOD did. The healing power was done THROUGH Christ, not by Christ. He rightfully did not accept nor expect any credit for this work.

Third, he probably had a pretty good idea of what would happen if those in power saw him performing these miracles, they’d want to kick his a.s.s. And eventually, they did.

For example; if you do a good deed, you shouldn’t be bragging about it to everyone because you should do the good deed to help someone, not for the notoriety; same goes for Jesus. He healed them because he wanted to heal them, but not for the notoriety.

Jesus wasn’t ready to be recognized as the Messiah just yet, he had alot of work still to do and if they found out they were going to try to make him a worldly king and that could have thrown off his divine plan at that time…hope this helps
