Balancing the chakras can be done simply and easily. Regardless of which method you choose, be consistent and stick to it for a while. It can sometimes take a little while to bring a chakra into balance if we haven’t done much work with it in the past. Be patient with yourself.
For the Base, or Root Chakra, you could carry a grounding stone such as Obsidian or Hematite. Rub the stone or examine it very thoroughly to help feel more balanced and grounded.
Red is the color associated with the Root Chakra. You could wear red clothing or visualize the color red. For a focus, I imagine standing in a field of red flowers and really let myself focus on the color while doing deep breathing. Holding a black or red crystal while doing this can enhance the effect.
Another oftentimes overlooked way of balancing the Root Chakra is to sit on the ground. This directly connects our Root chakra to the Earth. I sit on the ground with my back against a tree and meditate for a few minutes. Works for me every time.
If you are a musical sort, drumming can help you to connect with the rhythm of the Earth. This aids in re-establising our connection to tribal energies, often associated with the Root chakra.
